Little Taiwan @ MidValley
I visited Little Taiwan quite some time ago, but was kinda buzy and didn;t have time to blog about it. I was catching a movie at MV GSC, and pass by this newly open shop. Me and hubby decided to give a try since i 've been missing Taiwanese food so much.
The shop was quite full that day, but we were lucky to find a table for ourselves. We browse through the menu, interesting... everything seems so good from the menu, there're so many things we wanted to try out. We ordered fruit tea and strawberry milkshake, a mini malak steamboat, yanshuji(the salt and pepper fried chicken cube) and a meatball soup.
The people working in the shop are mainly foreigner, they do not understand english well neither mandarin. The reason i said that is because i was asking for the shop business card from one of the waiter but he look at me and couldnt get what i mean. Later he get another waiter to help him, i explain myself again, telling him that i ll like to keep the shop's business card / name card if they have any. He seems understand me, but then he replied me said they do not accept credit car. Arghhh..... I wasn't very happy because most of the staff there actually aware of whats happening but they just trying to avoid and ignore. Nvm~ Finally i walk to the counter and found the card myself.
Anyway, back to the food. Dissapointed... Very dissapointed...
The yanshuji was terrible, the chicken is dry not cripspy, taste weird... The malak steamboat is even worse, its so bland, not hot or spicy... not the taste i used to have... the meatball soup is normal - a few big meatball and vege in clear soup; the fruit tea... errrhhh... i dun wanna mentioned about it. The strawberry milkshake is the only thing i feel ok.
I am not sure if i didn't order the right thing, it seems pretty crowded everytime i passed by the place since my first visit. Well maybe its true ... but no... i ll not step in to that shop anymore...
