Christmas Eve 2012 - Heineken 5L Draught Keg

How was Christmas?
I spent my Christmas with KFC + Domino's :(
Without any decoration especially my favorite Christmas tree.
Why? Because I was sick for a week before Christmas,
and I was really tired and reluctant to do anything...

The bright side is, I still have something that makes me smile.
Yea... The Heineken Draught Keg !!!!
Hubby got it from duty free during his business trip to Labuan.
The price tag was RM75 but he got it for RM60++

Heineken Draught Keg is an integrated pressurized and disposable system with mini tap components in a lightweight steel keg.
It is about 5L = about 10 pint = 20 glasses = 5.5kg.

It comes with a easy install tap tube.
What you do is chill it at 5 degree Celsius for 10 hours.
Click on the tap tube, and get ready with your glasses~~~
What if you can't finish it?
No problem~ Store it back to your fridge, it could last up to 30 days~
(Well, actually... the chances that you store back to fridge is pretty low... )

So, On the Christmas eve morning,
I throw this Draught Keg into my fridge and chilled for about 8-9 hours under 4 degree Celsius.

We had our KFC...
and the "buy one free one" domino's pizza ( seriously, I felt a bit cheated... Why are you telling people buy one free one while the ingredients being used is actually half from the usual one I get :(  )

and tada.... Our star of the night~~~~
oopsss... Not him...

I mean ... this...

Here... before install the tap tube

and after....

The first few pour are mostly foamy....
As expected... (pssst... i did a lil survey from the web)

But it went well from the 4th glass onwards...
Nice cooling refreshing heinie ....
OK. My Christmas 2012 wasn;t that bad... :p

*We didn't finish everything, and continue to drink the next day. It still taste good.

Mille Crepe @ Food Foundry, Section 17

I have always believe...
Dessert is the best way to kill one of those moody day...

And here I am... at food foundry
to get myself the new flavor of their mille crepe - Lavender Earl Grey.

I love lavender... as well as earl grey...
Was excited about the new flavor available at food foundry.

This is how my piece of mille crepe looks like when I open my box.

Hmmm... I was a lil disspointed.
Maybe my expectations was too high....
Was hoping that it will be really good.
Sadly, it is nothing of what I thought it would be.
It was alright, but a lil too sweet for my liking.
And if I were to compare with Winter Lover or Humble Beginnings,
food foundry will definitely be my last option to go for.

Lavender and earl grey are not easy to "handle"
And to me, food foundry didn't handle it well.

I guess its unfair to judge by only one flavor,
I am going to give it a try to others in future.

Anyway, mood did get better after the dessert ^^

Oiso Korean Traditional Cuisine & Cafe @ The Sphere, Bangsar South

I found a cozy place for korean food.
Oiso it is ^^

According to the brief here, Oiso means "WELCOME" in Korean Dialect.
Sorry for the bad pic again -_- was in hurry as it was raining.

I first get to know about this cafe though Qoo10 (Gmarket Malaysia).
Purchase the voucher from Qoo10, for almost >50% discount.
I bought it during their special day sales...
They have it each month, just keep an eye on it.
Sometimes you will be able to get it like RM8.50 for RM20 voucher.
It is sooooooooooooooo worth it!!!!

Let's start with the drinks....

Jeannie ordered ginger tea.

And the Citrus tea for me ^^

Green Tea for SY

Mr.Tan had the nectar rice drink which is also called sikhye.
Er... my pic was blur. So... hehe... sorry...

And the banchan...
Total five different types.
They are all good and unlimited refill ^^

We ordered this tempting egg roll with tomato sauce for lil J
(and ourselves too :P)

The egg roll here is a lil different than the usual we have at others korean restaurant. It has ingredients like mushroom bits and etc that makes it so tasty!!!
Seriously, order this and try... You will know what I mean after tasted it...

 Next...
Mr.Tan ordered a seafood noodle soup - Haemul Guksu
The noodle is similiar to our chinese pan mee, slightly thinner.
We love the sweetness of the broth...
Hearty bowl of noodle in rainy day ^^

SooYin and Jeannie (yes... they are sharing again...)
The Grilled Blue Mackarel Set.
Which came with a Seaweed Soup, Grilled fish,
Steamed egg (an option of kimchi pancake or Steamed egg)
as lil J love steamed egg.

 Yummy Grilled Mackarel

Seaweed Soup

My cold noodle - naeng myeon. (non spicy)

OKOK... I think mine is the best among all...
I love it so much...
The noodle was serve with icy cold broth...
a lil sweet and sour... with condiments like egg, kimchi, cucumber seaweed...
I just can't stop slurping the noodle...
I love the way they add ice in it... it was still icy cold even I finished the whole bowl of noodle.

Have a look, so tempting right???

Mustard to serve with the cold noodle

And Lastly... The Kimchi Jungol...
A pot of treasures!!!

Close up ...

Enoki... mandu... sausage... glass noodles... tofu...
 and a lot of kimchi...
 I mean really a lot...
At first I thought the portions is ok...
but later...
We dig and dig and dig...
still have ... -_- Cant finish...

Bill - RM120++
We used up our RM120 of voucher nd top up a lil with cash.
Yes, that mean RM60 for 4 adults and 1 child.
Cheap!!!
And consider about the food and service here...
It is soooo worth it...
It's actually not my first time here...
and I can see the reason I came back for the second time.
From food to service, the tableware that they used... not to mention the big portion of food... (I mean it... if you are a small eater, do share...)

Set lunch is available with a slightly cheaper price.
But the voucher that we bought are only for Dinner use.

ahh... I started to miss the food again...

haha... Have a look of this pic...
I didn't realized about it until I came home.
The boss (I suppose ) were smilling at my me while i take this picture
He is very friendly and polite.
