Mcdonald Delivery - The New GCB ^^

It's 15th July 2010, finally... the GCB is out ~~~~
Yep, the Mcdonald limited time Grilled Chicken Burger~
For some reason, I do not have car for a temporary of time.
So... i dialed 1300131300 ^^
Placed my order and my delivery arrived in 30 mins of time.

Here's how the packaging look like

Ok... um, I actually try to take a few shot of the burger, but i guess...
It just doesnt look right, yea... delivery... soggy fries, my coke without straw...
and the look of the burger affect my appetite too -_-!!!

Taste? well, fortunately it taste not bad, the chicken was tender, for those who love black pepper, yep, this is a burger for u, cant really taste the chargrilled sauce, I mean there's but overall, it taste more "peppery"

Price: RM10.45 + Tax RM0.52 + delivery charges RM3 = RM13.97

Worth a try? yeah, i rate it 3.5/5 ^^

Patisserie RUI Bakery @ Mont Kiara

* Oh my, nobody seems to be interested in my xiaofeiyang -_- from my previous post,
guess I will keep it for my next steamboat party ...

I have been frequent this bakery shop since last year September if I'm not mistaken.
If you are coming from mon't kiara to solaris, you will passby this building name Mont Kiara Meridin, there're some other shop such as dominos at the same row as RUI.

I love everything here...
Almost all the cakes... It was not too sweet, and taste heavenly good.
And I love those lil sweet packaging by them, clean... simple...

Below are the cakes I have tried during my visits or some bought back by hubby from RUI.

Strawberry Shortcake - light and fluffy ^^

The Opera Cake - Must try...

Lemon Cheese w coconut flakes - I thought I will never like a cake like this as I dont really fancy coconut, but i was wrong, its was so good, with a hint of lemon, again ... its not too sweet and actually wanted to have another one after my first piece :p

Red Velvet - The Red Velvet version here at RUI is a lil different, its lighter, which also one of my favourite

Meatball and spaghetti - ah... all time favourite, if you are chocolate lovers, pls pls pls try this~

Chocolate Truffle - another must try for chocolate lovers.

Apple Cheese - smooth and light cheese cake...

Tiramisu - I think tiramisu was the only cake that i wasnt really into at RUI.

I prefer something real heavy and rich for tiramisu ^^

But... it still good to me ^^

I ordered a strawberry shortcake for my christmas party 2009, oh man... everybody loves it so much, even for those who dont really love cakes. And i love the way they decorate the cake, and also the lil candles ^^

They serve tea and coffee too...

oohhh~ Xiao Fei Yang - 噢~小肥羊...

I am sure most of you already know about Xiao Fei Yang Steamboat.
But no, I am not posting about this Xiao Fei Yang Steamboat Restaurant at Pudu or Damansara Uptown.

This post is about Xiao Fei Yang convenient ingredient pack that a friend got back for me from China. Yes, it's like a instant noodle, where you have all the flavouring and others ingredient in it for you to prepare your steamboat.

And because of this I had steamboat for few nights in a week
(Did i mentioned that I am a big fan of steamboat? ^^)
Hubby got so sick of steamboat after that :p

This is how the packing look like, the green is clear soup while the red is malak.

There're directions on how to prepare the soup.

I used a small kampung chicken to boil soup as a soup base.

This is what inside the packing, some flavoring powder, butter, herbs, wolfberries (keichi) etc.
You will need to prepare your own green onions, ginger and garlic.
I added additional ingredient such as red dates, extra wolfberries, a few piece of dangui and dried longan.

After mixing everything together, and let it boiled for a while, you are ready to start the steamboat ^^ (Note: I didnt use up all the flavoring powder as I was told that it could turn very salty, so i added a bit by a bit... to the taste I am comfortable with)

Ta da... That's my first DIY Xiao Fei Yang Steamboat night with my buddies...

Beef and Beef and Lamb slice i got from Juco, mock sharkfin, tofu, prawn, mushroom, vege...
Self marinated passionfruit papaya pickle, DIY fermented beancurd sauce (fermented beancurd + sesame oil), Mum's homemade garlic chilli,

After the first and 2nd experience with the clear soup, I am so eager to try out the malak one.
So here I am, ready for the 3rd round :p

The preparation and the ingredient in the packing is about the same, but the malak one has dried chilli and chilli oil in it. I am sorry I was too excited and forgot to take down pic of the ingredient in it.

It was a great night for malak steamboat, it was raining... and my condo here is breezy and cooling.

There it is, my malak steamboat... I added extra cili padi :p
Same thing, I didnt add all the flavouring powder and chilli oil.

Fish paste, bacon, prawn, spring roll... ( that's what i have in my fridge -_-)

Mushroom + vege

Besides the fermented beancurd sauce, i bought a crispy prawn chilli sambal, forgot to take pic of it, will take it and upload later. And we had Super Skol beer to end the night ^^

Remark:

1. Both clear and malak soup is not as good as those in the restaurant, yea... after all its a instant one. And i found that extra ingredient like keichi, dried longan etc are needed in order to make the soup more flavourful.

2. The malak soup taste better than the clear soup ^^

My wedding in Nov was a great one, at least to me...
I had the most wonderful day in my life...

And my married life? haha... I start learning to cook some simple dishes...

Goong Korean Rice Cake, Cold Storage, The Garden.

Happened to passby cold storage and found these colorful rice cake, lovely sales lady let me and Jeannie try each of them. Sooooooooo Good... Yes, because its not sweet, it doesnt taste like what it looks. We were told by the lady that these are make from rice powder, pumkin, sweet potatoes and sesame. Besides, the sweetness that we taste were the natural sweetness and a lil of honey added in it. Sound so healthy right?

Jeannie and I couldnt resist, And we bought 4 boxes to share :p
Can't really remember the price, All of them here cast about RM35.

OK... my opinion is... I love the yellow color one, which is the pumplin the most... love the fluffy texture and also the pumkin filling in it...

If you love something like mochi ... u you prefer something not too sweet...
Please try this, ^^

And decide to pay Khong Kee a visit.

Parking was really a hectic~
But I was lucky ... found a parking just right in front hong leong bank ^^

Not very packed... could be because of the rain...

Ordered a G Cheong Fun... Hmmm, I think I dont really like this , its kind of oily, taste soso...

The sauce... honestly I think the sauce at any other place are better...
Kind of dilute and bland...

We ordered quite a lot ... Yea for only 2 of us :p

Taste normal too... But the fish paste was quite a lot...

Day 3...

We are leaving today...
Rainy day again -_-!!!

The last meal before we left, Hubby brought me to this chicken rice shop at Prai.

At first I thought it was just something very simple, and ordinary.
But no, I was wrong.
Meng Huat Asam Fish Chicken Rice.
You place your order at the cashier, u see that lovely lady sitting down there?
Talk to her, she is patient, she explain and recommend you what to eat.
There're selection of lobak ... all look veyr yummy!!!
Asam Vege... Chicken.. etc..

There're only 2 of us, i felt like eating everything there :p
The chicken serve with bean sprouts, doesnt look tempting?
Not true, its taste sooooooo good, fragrant, with a lil crispy at the bottom near the bone.
Goes very well with the rice...
Chicken rice usually serve w a soup, the version of soup here is slightly different.
They serve asam soup here, taste like asam laksa's soup...
So sour and spicy!!! I really love it~~~

The lobak~~~ ahhhhhh, that's what we call the real lobak...
The asam vege here is slightly mild... but suprisingly goes very well w other dishes...

And the teochew salted pork... oh ya... do u knw the feeling of melted in your mouth...
Sooooooo good!!!!!!
It's soooo goood~~~
I dont feel like leaving...

Hubby promise to bring me back again for a real trip...
Yeah!!! I am gonna prepare a long list... for my next visit again...

Day 2....

Had a really good sleep til I dont wanna wake up :p

Kind of cooling and cloudy day...

Hubby has a appointment around Seberang Jaya.
So he dropped me 0ff at Sunway Carnival Mall for few hours.
Hmmm... nothing special about this mall, and I seriously need a cup of coffee to wake me up.
So... Breakfast at Starbucks ^^

A cup of latte w Strawberry Donut ^^

Yummy Sweet and sour strawberry donut, goes very well w my latte.

Late Noon...
Hubby pick me up and we then had meal at Raja Uda.
Heard they are famous with their kueh teow t'ng...
Hmmm... seriously not bad.

But i think i got attacted by the chicken more than the kueh tiao soup. ^^
It was really good, so juicy and tender.... slurrrpssss....

Then we went back to bayan lepas Queesbaymall.

Yea... Hubby has another appointment there.
And I was jst shopping around. I think I prefer Queensbay Mall ^^
Penang is really a good place~~~

Our dinner settle at this kopitiam call Beei Hooi restaurant along Jalan Burmah.
Again, to our suprised... The food was really good!!!

Here's our drink, hubby's herbal tea and my watermelon juice.

Wantan mee. Um... Forget about the charsiew as this is the more healthy version...
But the noodles were so good... hubby loves it...
Rainy day... uncle keep preparing the noodle non stop...
and that makes us order a plate.

Crabmeat mee suah. Yummy... something like taiwanese oyster mee suah.
yumyumyum... it's serve w some vinegar...

Satay. Satay auntie was very friendly and cute, when I asked her what is nice here, she mentioned all the stall but never mentioned abt her own satay :D
But at the end I ordered from her too because I was craving for satay.
and I m glad i ordered satay... no regrets!!!

Lastly, Oh Jian - fried oyster.
The version of oh jian here is good. I hate eating those too starchy one, this one is jst right...
The amount of egg and starch they use "ngam ngam"...
ahhhhh... another good meal...
It was raining so heavily, so we sat at the kopitiam and relax till quite late.

Unfortunately, the rain didnt stop, we have no choice but get ourselves wet when we got back to hotel -_-!!!

Asam Laksa.
Very fragrant and love the sweetness of the fish w prawn paste.
But we are a lil dissapointed as the soup is not very hot and its not spicy enough.

After the 1st stop, we decided to go for another one at Mega Star...
This version is still the same, not spicy enough, but i love the piping hot soup while its arrived.

Dinner at Goh Huat Seng at Kimberly road.
Steamboat....

This charcoal steamboat came with full pot of vege, meat and fish etc...
There're other ingredients such as chicken, pork slice, pork liver, fish ball ...
All were fresh and good... We ordered this small set price RM40
Love the soup w natural sweetness... yum...

Fresh Oyster with Kerabu RM13

Very Appetising... Small but fat and juicy oyster...

Combination of mint leaves, chilli, peanut make it taste sooooo good!!!
I had about 13 of them ^^

A little corner of this cozy cafe - K3K Benta Kaya at ss15, Subang.
Why am I here?
um... I am meeting a client later for her church wedding rehearsal at Subang Square.And I am earlier, and I have not had dinner yet.And.. I remember read about Leo's Blog about this kopitiam.
And so happened there's a parking, so i just parked my car and there I am here.

What did I have?take a look...
Fuzhuk tongshui.... RM2.80
I love the version of the Fuzhuk Tongshui serve here...
It's thick... like soya, but still u can taste a lil bit of the fuzhuk...
Like my mum's version... love it...
Most importantly, it's not too sweet....
Good!!!

Roti Jala with Curry Chicken. RM5.30
Hmmm... It cames with 4 big piece of roti jala, and a bowl of curry chicken with a big piece of chicken in it.
The curry was thick and fragrant. The chicken was cook to very soft and tender...
I do not have difficulty tearing the chicken to small piece to go with the roti jala,
the curry have a hint of peanut... I am not sure, that's what i taste...
And I guess that's one of the reason make it taste good...
But the portion is a lil too big for me... or is it because of the curry...
I felt a bit "jelat" after a while...
Anyway, I think the version serves here are better than the one at Nyonya colours.

Service wise was great...
They are alert.. fast... waiting time was less than 8 mins.
And I love all the food arrived hot and fresh...

Nice... I ll definitely be back again~~~

Lovey Dovey Weekend w Mr.Tan - Fitou, Desa Park City + Gong Woh Tong 1 Utama + Porridge at Tmn But Kit Maluri, Kepong

I was blaming that Mr.Tan so busy with work these days and didnt really spend time with me :(
Without getting too himself in too much troubles by listen to the noise non stop beside him...
He decided to spend a good weekend with me ^^
Yeah... I win ^^

Brunch was at Fitou, Desa Park City.We were there around 12.30pm.

The restaurant was so quiet, there're only 2 table of diners include us.I actually pre booked a set lunch meal from www.bestfoodjunction.com like a mth ago, cant really remember. So we stick to the original plan...Mr.Tan is having the Ham Croissant Sanwich while myself going for the Fried Breaded Pork Fillet. The Set also include a green salad, and drinks, we both choose ice lemon tea for such a hot afternoon. The dessert of the day is creme brulee, hehe... hubby is not a big fan for dessert, so I take his portion too :p

Um... nothing much about the food... as this is set lunch... I think I ll go back again for the ala carte. And also I think this a good place for a drinking at nite ^^

After the brunch, we went One Utama for movie - The proposal ^^ nice movie ...

And then we had guai leng kou at goong woh tong, yummy...
Good for Mr.Tan too... since he is heaty...

Dinner was at this porridge stall at Taman Bukit Maluri, which is very near Tuck Kee Dimsum.
We ordered a fish porridge, a kungpao frog, and a plain porridge.
As usual, the porridge was good... and the KungPao froggie were very hot and spicy~~~

My first visit to 1 stop cafe was with hubby and his family.
Pretty happy with the food so I brought mum and sis here again, and also a chance for me to snap some pics for my blog since i forgot to bring my camera previously.

A open air cafe... could be quite warm in noon.

Mum and I ordered Pumpkin Beancurd & Red Bean Beancurd to share.
Price: RM2.50 for one
Taste good, but I still think it's a lil too sweet to my liking.

Sis had a mixed juice drink call Digestive Tonic

Sandwich Sushi Roll RM3.60
Very nice... The concept is exactly like sushi but instead of rice they replace it with bread.
While the fillings are cucumber, carrot and tuna.
Mum loves this.

Tortilla RM3.50
YUM~~~ I loves this~
Maybe because I am a tortilla and wrappo lover.
And the filling is actually mushroom...
Imagine it's piping hot when you put inside your mouth...

6/10 I dont know, could be the sambal or the rice...
It's lack of something...

hehe... a little expensive, but i guess its worth to try...

um, by judging the portion of the liquor they pour in and also the seafood...

Fried Pumpkin Cake RM3
Another star of the day.
They made it into a shape like pumpkin, and when u bite it, it was so crunchy and sweet of pumpkin taste... But beware... as it's really hot... I actually cut it to half and let it cool down a while before letting mum eat...

Sis also dabao kaya roll which was packed nicely in a box.

And there comes our bill...
RM46.45 include tax.

P/S: I forgot to mention they serve complimentary daily soup, um... but you could ignore that one... tasteless or rather a ajinomoto soup ^^

A good place with nice food especially snacks...
Will definitely come back again though the service is just average.

And I finally have the chance to try this famous dimsum among bloggers after my diet plan for sooooooooo long.........

It's Saturday morning.
We can see peopl Q-ing and waiting for their number to call.
I heard there's another outlet at damansara uptown now, guess that is why the Q is not as long as last time when i pass by.

Waiting time was about 15mins...
We were seated and then tea... dimsum... are served shortly.
I must said, very good service!!!

When my Chubby Bro In Law Back from LA ...

Hooray... my lovely chubby bro in law (jiefu) backed frm LA in June.
Well, yea... can't run away, at least a few meal with him ^^

Steamboat at TaiTao, Manjalara.
The soap is better than Ketam actually but too bad the chillie ...
Not good...
Ingredients wise, fresh! and Big... big fish ball... Love it...
and the fried chicken wing too ^^

We then went Tmn Bkt Maluri makan ABC for dessert.
I love the ABC here... love the generous amount of the gula malacca,
the ice is soft... like cotton ^^
It's just next to the infamous Tmn Bkt Maluri Pan Mee stall.
MUST TRY!!!

Since i have not eaten, so i had a quick one at Bee Connection.

Yum... everything so good and the portion is extremely big...

Little Korea, Solaris Mon't Kiara

Back to March,
another birthday celebration for my buddy Jeannie that brought us to Little Korea at Solaris Mont Kiara. My very first time to this restaurant. The restaurant seems pretty busy and crowded. And I guess they are somehow lack of man power. The service was rather slow...

Look that's the pretty birthday girl, Jeannie ^^

As usual, we are served with many types of side dishes.
Remark: the side dishes are only allowed to refill for a few times.
Coz We actually love kimchi a lot when we ask for replenish the 3rd or 4th time,
the foreign worker actually told us "no more, this is last one" -_-!
while i can see other tables are still having, so i guess... we are asking too much huh?
Hmmm... I think in terms of bachan, i prefer daorae or Dae Sa Kwan. As they have unimited supply ^^

We ordered Pork Ribs for BBQ as Jeannie dont take beef.
Well, taste not bad...

The STAR of the night, Kimchi Hot pot.

This is so good, and we actually love the version at lil korea than Dae Sa Kwan or Daorae.

Lovely place... Love the gym room, love the security, love the swimming pool, love the kitchen (but a big waste for a man that doesnt utilize this kitchen), hmmm... now i know, why my condo cant compare to this one ^^ and now i knw why its is so expensive compare to mine :p

For old friens belated birthday celebration, we picked this lovely Italian Restaurant.
Love the pieceful and quiet environment.
We were there for lunch.
A antpasti buffet follow by a main course, then dessert and coffee.
Price at Rm46 + 15% tax

Um, we think the balsamic was too lil :p
But it was great though... warm and fresh ... Yum...

The we proceed to the antipasti buffet, the spread was pretty good...

But I only had a plate - one round ^^

Yea, wedding is around the corner, i have to watch out ^^

The mushroom was good, the cold meat was nice... not to mention about the fritata as I m egg lover. There are many more... like carpacio, salmon... yum~

Ok... If we follow the rules, the coffee should serve later, but coffee lover cant resist, and and for the coffee right after the antipasti ^^

Again, if you are there, you will see my happy smile...

4 of us, so we ordered the main that's available on the menu and share.

The lamb, the pizza (love the runny egg yolk in the middle) seafood, fettucine with chicken liver.

Ah... Pardon me as I cant provide the actual name that is written on the menu. Yea, I can't remember as it's been a while...

And lastly, the dessert - Panna Cotta with Salsa.

It was great...

Food was great, and its always great to hangout with olde friends (gossip about others :p)

I am really sorry for not updating my blog for so long.
Um... Yea, I am getting married this year end.

So no more good food for me, working very hard to loose some weight.

And here I would like to share one of my lunch recently.

My salad with egg and tuna.
And obviously the star of the day is my star shape egg.

Got this egg mould from bro in law.
He bought it from ebay for me.

Never had time to try on it, til few days ago,
was trying to make my salad look a little interesting ^^

ahhhh.... I have been waiting for this day for sooooo long~~~~
and finally...
i get to try Tenji's buffet today ^^ (I booked 1 week plus in advanced)

We booked for 1pm, but we arrive earlier around 11.45pm, i was told to be here by many friends... Check out the crowd... My god... I got a shocked when seeing this, a lot of people intend to walk in, but they were then turn down as its fully book til 15th Jan (last day of the lunch promo ends )

Okay... was waiting at the counter for a while, and i was told that i only book for 1 person -_-

What? come on... Later, I was told that there are seat available but 6 of us have to seat separately from 2 tables. Okay... well... I dont have choice...

Once we are seated. We then start to rock n roll ;)

Coconut Juice.... refreshing~

Big juicy oyster... I had 3 of them ^^
um... taste fine.

Sashimi - Scallop, butter fish and salmon.
Prefer the butter fish than salmon.
Scallop was good too.

Appetiser - Lobster salad, Jelly fish & Chuka hotate.

Dont like the jelly fish, it was dry and hard, taste bland ...

They came in very small portion, so i suggest throw few clips into the bowl to get the portion that is at least enuff for u.

Alvin said the soup is very sweet, must have added a lot of MSG,

There're lamb cutlet, prawn, fried pumpkin, fried durian and pizza.

They have gotta learn how to control the crowd. Service can be improve.
Food wise, I think it's worth what I paid.
But i will not pay for the normal price for this kind of spread coz I honestly think it's not worth it.

Anyway, I had a great time today.
We then went to cold storage to walk a while.

ah... this is another great place that i visited long time ago.
First time was May... My 7 annivesary together w my dear...

And 2nd time, recently in OCT for Phoebe's bday celebration.
I had great time for both visit.
Food were really good...
We ordered beef, lamb, chicken and seafood.
Love the beef tongue ... slurrrp....
The lambs were absolutely good!!!
oh well... not to mentioned about the melt in mouth beef~~~~

I am trying to search for the receipt to find out how much exactly and what we ordered for the meal. Pls do gimme some times...

Just read boo_licious about Teatime at west 57th street cafe parkson.
Remind me that i actually visited and bought 2 pieces of their Banana Chocolate Cake back to July for Ray and Alvin as birthday present.

My first time with Zang Toi's Cafe was at least 10 years back, it was my dear sis who brought me there and had a really good meal over there. I couldnt forget my first time, it was love at first sight... (or love at first bite??? :p) it was so wonderful, the fresh bananas... the texture of cake and the super rich choc syrup... mmmmhhhh.... my goodness...

You havent tried out the something in the blue box?
ooo.. trust me u dont wanna missed it... ;-)

I went to search online, it was actually Venus, Jupiter and a three-day-old crescent Moon.

Hmmm... I m glad to see it .

This year Beer Fest seems not as good as last year.

Kimchi DIY

Ha... As I mentioned previously...
I wanna make kimchi.
I am a super kimchi lover.
To have my own box of kimchi at refrigerator just take out and eat anytime I feel like eating is really great.

Before I start this, would like to share a link - where i got my guide making kimchi.
Cooking Korean Food with Maangchi
This is one of the most detailed korean food guide i found from the web.
Everythings come with pictures, sample, explanation and even video.
So if you are interested to know more about korean food or cooking korean food,
do visit this site.

Making Kimchi

Below are ingredients needed according to Maangchi,
but i change some since i couldnt get some of them.

Cabbage, radish, salt, glutinous powder (can't get the mochiko powder mentioned in her blog), sugar, water, Korean hot pepper flakes, fish sauce, Onion (i used the local one, cant get the white one), garlic, ginger, green onions / leeks, Chives / spring onion.

I didn't use oyster as its not cheap and not easy to get.

My ingredients i have prepared....

A big cabbage i got from one of the Korean mart yesterday at "Korean Village", Ampang.
But not as big and as beautiful as Maangchi's one :(

Cut half...

Nice ... ^^

Clean it w water gently, cut through the core but not all, so that the leaves are still intact.

Next... you will need some salt, I use the local salt which can get frm any convenient shop.
(Sea salt is more expensive ^^)

Sprinkle the salt on cabbage layer by layer,
The stem should get more salt than leaf part according to maangchi.
(I missed that out and i felt that my kimchi turns out to be slightly bland for the stem part)
Set it aside.

Next, will be the radish.
Jeannie and sis dont really fancy radish, so i only get one.
A rather small one.

Wash and peel the skin.

Cut into cubes. Size according to your preference.
I prefer it to be smaller. Easy to bite ^^

Keep radish in a bowl. I kept the leaves too.

Ok... This is the funny part.
The moment i grab this i thought i grabbed cucumber.
But I just realize that it is not, its zucchini *--* shamed~
Since that... I ll jst use it.
Same as radish, u wash... and cut it to the size you prefer.

The green onions / leeks.

Chives / Spring Onion, clean and cut.

Okay... add the cut zucchini together with radish,
Sprinkle with salt. Leave it. f

2 hours later,
turn the cabbage pieces over same goes to radish & zucchini for them to salted evenly.

Another 2 hours later, wash and rinse cabbages & radish.
Squeeze a little for water to drain off from leaves.

The total salting process is 4 hours.
While waiting...
Get prepare for other ingredients.

Chives & leeks, cut and set aside.

Ginger, onions & garlics.

Prepare the kimchi sauce.

First prepare the porridge.
I used 3/4 quarter cup of glutinous rice flour, add 3 cups of water.

Stir and let it mix well before heating it.

Then cook under medium low heat while stirring constantly.

It will gets thicker and when you see there's some bubbles popping up,
add 1/4 cup of sugar, stir and let it mix well.
Remove from heat and let it cool down.

Get Hot pepper powder.

I used 2 cups of hot pepper powder.

add into the porridge that has already cool down.

hmmm... beautiful~~~

Stir and mix.

One and half cup of fish sauce (i added more since I didnt use shrimp paste or oyster)

Fish sauce (there're many others brand, the thai's version is fine too)

Blend ginger + Onions + garlics + fish sauce in blender
Add to the the mixture previously ( porridge + Hot pepper powder)

Stir well.

Add spring onion, leeks and shreded radish to the paste..
taste it... add salt or sugar if its necessary.

And we are ready to spread the paste ^^

Remember to wear your gloves, ophssss...
I dont have one, so i use a brand new plastic bag and secure with rubber band on my hand.

Beautiful Kimchi .... Smell good too ^^

Same goes to the radish (kaktugi)

and zucchini

Put them into container.

Arrange it nicely ...

You may noticed that some of my kimchi are in small pieces.
I actually cut them before the salting process.
Coz i wasnt sure if i have such big containers to keep the whole cabbage.

And i find it very convenient as it save the hassle of taking out and cut,
mess free
jst take out frm container and ready to serve.

You can eat the kimchi rightaway,
or leave it at room temperature
(somewhere cooler and let it fermented for a day before putting into fridge.

The fermented kimchi will smell a little sour and
you will see bubbles with some liquids

I found these cute little cupcakes during my visit to "Korean Village" near Ampang Point today. What makes me there? Haha... to be honest i never been to this Korean Village before, so since i plan to make kimchi this weekend, so I dropby to checkout this place while getting some ingredients i need.

There're many Korean mart around, selling different types of korean groceries...
Fresh vege, kimchi's... korean kitchen utensils... etc...

And Korean Restaurant of course ^^

Choya Umeshu

Choya Umeshu, a gift from friend as my birthday present.
This one is a little different than the usual one I had.
This one is the non sugar version.
Well, it still taste sweet but i love this version more since it doesnt added any extra sugar.

The green plums in the wine.

I usually love to have my umeshu with soda water, lemon slice and red apple cut into thin slice.
But this time, I only have lemon in my refrigerator.
So I have in on da rocks with lemon slice.

Still taste good .... Cheers....

There're a few more types of Umeshu which you are able to get it at Shijokiya (One U sushi zanmai & pasta zanmai), Carrefour (liquor section), Jusco liquor & wine shop.

Do give it a try, I am sure you will love it.

I decided to go for a good lunch with my dear besties Jean.

So without thinking much, we decided to go Jaya One (yes... all the way from Kepong)

We were serve with braised peanut as starter after our order.

The 4-type mixed roast platter with rice.
Um.. Chicken, Duck, Charsiew and roast intestine.
They were good but i found the gravy was a lil sweet.

Jeannie loves the rice.
She said she its so fragrant that makes her eat more than 3 spoon of rice
(Well, yea, she usually have not more than 3 spoonful of rice each meal -_-)
Me? I am fine. Taste not bad.
Each type came in 4 piece of meat For RM12.90 if I m not mistaken.

Too Sweet... It will be better if it's not that sweet.

G Cheong Fun wrapped with Yao Char Kuai.
It was good...

The YaoCharKuai was very cryspy and fragrant ...

The sesame peanut sauce that serve together were good too ^^

Um... normal... wonder why it is named King ~

But... Dissapointed...
Firstly, the soiu long bao doesnt comes with a lot of soup essence in it.
It was rather dry.

And also... it s bland...

I think I still prefer the one at Ming Huang, Tmn Usahawan Kepong

(which I'm going to blog about soon ^^)

Arghhh... I have so many photos in my laptop that waiting for me to blog.
All because of my laziness.
Guess I should blog about this restaurant before i forget about the details about this place.
This little chinese restaurant is located at Manjalara Kepong, same row as Block House, Green Town, Niji sushi and nearby D'licious Hot Pot Restaurant.

We were there for family dinner.

The Menu

The Menu was pretty extensive.

The deco of the restaurant was rather oriental.

It's feature in some local newspaper before.
Wow... I didn't know that ^^

We were serve with a small glass of Dragon Fruit Enzyme (FOC)

Purpose is for us to taste, it was good.

But RM60 for a bottle, kind of expensive. -_-

My nephew loves the enzyme.

Taste special, my first time having century egg this way.
Well, Kung Pao and Century egg, both my favourite...

Well, Over all experience was good.

I took the card from their counter, and found out that it is related to Niji Sushi next to it.
Hmmm... not bad... I tried Niji sushi once before when they just open,
Not a very good experience as most of the thing i wanted were not available.

But I wouldnt mind for a second time since I had a good one here.
Impressive ^^

This is the place i used to visit during my secondary school days.
My memories... ^^

It's been few years back since my last visit.
Glad that my dear friends suggested this for lunch.
It's still the same. About 30 over dishes to choose.
And they are all good. ^^
Except the price is higher now.
Well, RM3-RM4 for a packet of rice with 3 to 4 dishes.
Still worth it ...

Well, I went lunch with Phoebe the other day at Modern De Cafe.

We couldn't decide where to go, so I brought her to this place. The Rm3.80 place ^^
Where most food are price at RM3.80.

Phoebe Had the Claypot Lao Shu Fun. And she like it.

I wasn't hungry, so I ordered a Lotus Bun.

Phoebe "dabao" another 2 lotus bun back office for her tea time.

And she loves it too... ^^

Couldn't find the receipt for the meal, but it should be less than RM10.

An economic and satisfying lunch I wound said ^^

I had a great day...
Slept til 10.30am, wait for Dad & Mum came back from market.
And went to Emperor Garden Restaurant (Goldhill Club) to place deposit for my wedding dinner next year. Manager Tony was very friendly & polite. Finally, paid and book the restaurant for bride's side wedding dinner. Dad & Mum have too much concern -_-
arhh... nvm... It's settled now.

The staffs are so great...
They are polite... always smile... PR with you...

Not bad... We taste a hint of shao xing wine in the duck meat.
But sis was kidn of dissapointed coz it was a drumstick showing in the menu.

And what she got is not ... kekeke ^^

My first visit to Sushi Zanmai during the Mega sales.

Interior was pretty impressive...

Yukss... what's that?
Well... that's me... whenever there's sweet soya sauce,
I will pour it over the wasabi and mixed with the salty one ^^

DIY Enzyme

okay... this post is suppose to be posted out last month...
Muahahaha... yep... It's all because of me... my laziness....
and I realize that there'll so many pics in my folder waiting for me to blog.

Back to about one or two months,
I was surfing net and found a lot of info about DIY Enzyme.
Seems not very complicated, so I decided to DIY my enzyme too^^
Happily i went to market to buy some fruits.
And guess what I bought?
Dragon fruits and this cute lil champagne grapes.

He actually help me to pluck one buy one...

Then we will need brown sugar and fresh lemon too...

So what I did is arrange the ingredient accordingly
1st layer - fruits
2nd layer lemon slices
3rd layer brown sugar.

It was successful... after a month of fermentation...
I am sorry... I didnt really take down the pics of the process...
Sigh... hehe... next time ok?
I love it... but i think i add too much sugar and its a lil too sweet.
Beside the juice, I actually eat the grapes too...
I could taste a hint of alcohol in it...
I add the grapes with ice cream...
It was really good...

By the way... u must be wondering what about the dragon fruits one?
kekekeke... gone... failed...
I dunno what happened but i found worm -_-!!! in my enzyme on the 2nd week...
SO... no choice that i have to throw the big bottle of dragon fruit enzyme away...

I was brought to this interesting drinking place few mths back by hubby.
Knew Snowbeer House Restaurant / 美味台湾雪花啤 at Tmn Usahawan Kepong.
I am sure some of you already been to the one at Cheras.
And the snow beer they serve here is just the same as the cheras's according to hubby.

So.... Whats so special about the beer?
The beer will freeze when pour into glass...

Firstly, order the beer u want, eg. carlsberg, tiger, heneiken...
There'll be a small piece of wet cloth place on table as coaster.

Then, the waiter will bring a bottle of super chilled beer & glasses.
And pour the beer into glasses.

The beer will then became freeze immediately.

Really Good... But it melts very quickly... so drink it fast ~~~ ^^

So I was telling hubby about this.

Yesterday... He came back and bring me this cute lil Piggie biscuit in cage.
I was so exciting to see this.

Sunday noon... Woke up late...

Still thinking what to eat on our way to Jucso Prima, Kepong.

Out of sudden I recall this Rojak Stall at Kepong Baru we didn't go for more than years.
So we decided to have our brunch first before going to our groceries shopping.

Praying ... hope its open...

YES!!!

The weather is extremely HOT!!!!
Instead of eating there, mum and sis agree to da bao (take away)

Vegetarian day Dinner.
Cooling evening after the rain.

Me and hubby went to this hidden gem somewhere near desa pasar Kepong.

What are we having?

IT's vegetarian bakuteh ^^

I love herbal soup and thats the reason i like bakuteh.
But sometimes i just felt a bit sick with so much meat in the claypot.

This version is definitely good for those who are boring with the usual bakuteh.
A lighter version w more vege, mushrooms, fuzhuk.... and some mock meat.

The menu explain about the ingredients and herbal they used in the soup.

We order a medium size pot and add enoki mushroom.
Hubby ordered the yam rice while me having the normal white rice.

Belated Birthday celebration with dad as he wasnt feeling well last week.
We were scratching head where to go for good steaks...
And finally decided to go for Jake's Charbroil Steaks, after reading some good comment from blogger and also from friends.

We arrived around 6 plus in the evening.
We were welcome by friendly staff and then seated.

Our very first time here.Environment was okay. But we felt the temperature is a lil warm.

We took a while to look through the menu and then place order.
The lady who took down our order was rather "robotic" and lack of smile.

Well, anyway... back to the food.
We ordered Mexican Nachaos and Fresh Oyster for the appetiser.
Sirloin steak, lamb steak, charbroil chicken, fish and a beef burger for the main.
Beers for dad and hubby, watermelon juice for me and sis, starfruit juice for mum.

Check this out, My breakfast from my lovely colleague - Cory.
She always mentioned about this Lotus Bun to me since last two weeks.
But I just couldnt get the chance to try it.

And this morning, she sms me and tell me that she finally bought this bun.
Look... it's actually a plain bun with egg & luncheon meat filling.

YUM!!! Taste good, simple but good...
Because I like Bun... I like egg... and I like luncheon meat...

But to have dessert here is consider expensive for me, so i dont used to visit this ice cream shop.

We are lucky enough coz jeannie received a cash voucher for her birthday.

We are not having the fondue this time. We go for the flower blossom.

I love bread... especially those plain one...
Delifrance One Utama was having this promo, that 3 pieces of ciabatta bread for RM5.
The bread was still warm when i bought it... Super fresh!!!!

I love to have my bread with extra virgin olive oil & balsamic vinegar.
I do not have the mixed herb at home. So i used basil instead.

Sis and I wanted to buy this group of sor poh sor lou a meal.
Besides thank everyone for help on sis's wedding, also because I strike TOTO 2nd prize. ^^
Standard chinese restaurant is a little boring.
So we thought of have a korean dinner.
And everybody was exciting about it.
Total 11 of us... We actually called to make reservation one day before, and we get to sit in this VIP room. Not bad... More private .

The Korean Ginseng - kind of dissapointed with this one... taste awful... no one touch it since the first sip... it was left there...

Arh... i cant remember what this called. This is very nice...
Love the kimchi... Love the meat...

We ordered Kimchi Hotpot too... Here's mine. The kimchi hotpot here is slightly different than the one i had at Dae Sa Kwan Hartamas. Both version are not bad, the one in Daorae has instant noodles in it.

Total we paid was about RM700 ++
Price is pretty reasonable as we really ordered a lot, which some dish was not taken down as everybody was buzy eating....

hmmm... wonderful meal... and i was given a 10% discount card to use next time.

The Newly Open Bakery Shop - Delica, Taman Usahawan Kepong.

Hooray...

There's a new Bakery Shop newly open nearby my place recently.
And after i tried their cakes and bread...
I m so felt in love with them... ^^

Their bakery style is more to taiwanese i guess.
Cakes are soft and fresh, not too sweet.
Below are a few I have tried.

The Mango Moose Cake
Hmmm... You can truly taste the sweet & sour of this piece of mango moose. Its full of mango fragrant and yet not too sweet... with a hint of sour... arghhh... so good. But the moose could be better. I always love the "mango mirror " from Celicakes Hartamas, because the moose was so smooth that melt into your mouth. Anyway, this one from Delica does win my heart though ^^

I am sorry that the cake was a bit out of shape, um... thanks to Jeannie...

The Chantily
This is basically a fruit cake with some fruits sandwich in between.
Not bad too... As it's not too sweet. Very light ^^

Green Tea Cake
Slurrrppp.... My all time favourite, gree tea cake!!!
It's good... I love the lil red bean in full but when bite on it, its soft...

The Hazelnut with Sesame cake.
This is special... I hardly have chance to try out cakes like this in Malaysia.
So guys... If u happened to passby this area... do dropby for a try...

Instant Noodle Review 1 - Potato Noodle

hihi guys....
so sorry... I have been very busy for my sister wedding and work.
Plus I am actually on diet... So i try to lower my carb.

Anyway, still manage to review one here, the potato noodle.

I usually use microwave to cook my instant noodle.
But not this time as I am not very familiar with this brand.
I am sure everyone know the standard way of cooking instant noodle.
I am a little different as in I do not add the soup base powder into the water but instead on the bowl... I do that becoz i felt that its easier for me to adjust the taste, not too salty or bland...

No vege this time, coz there're no vege left in fridge.
But lucky enuff i have enoki, shitake and egg tofu ^^

Done~ Makan time....
hmmm.... the noodle doesnt take or smell very "potato" but the texture of the noodle is very smooth and chewy... Soup wise... fragrant, and i could taste a mild spicy in it. I would say very korean type of taste, not as good as those hot & spicy one i usually take, but not bad to this one too. 5/10 ^^

Dae Sa Kwan Korean Restaurant, Hartamas

Whenever me and my sis craved for korean food, we will definitely come to Dae Sa Kwan, as its nearer to our place compare to ampang. I've been here for so many times, but i just realized that I have never blog about this place before. (ophsss... lazy bug... always postpone til I forgotten)

As usual, we choose to sit upstair.
We ordered a kimchi hotpot (RM60) and a marinated ribs (RM55).

You can always ask for refill for the soup.

A different experience of Hakka Cuisine - Ying Ker Lou, The curve

I actually wanted to blog about New Paris Restaurant before coming to this post.
But ... afterall... i felt that there's really nothing much to share about.
Service was slow, staff were unfriendly, and duh... the dishes...
I will never go back....

okay...

Back to the main of today.
Ying Ker Lou @ The curve.

I am a big hakka cuisine fans as my mum is hakka and she cooks very good hakka dish too.
I always tried out all sort of hakka dish such as yong tao foo... hakka mee... etc.
But they are mostly at very hot and stuffy place ^^

This time, i felt a very different experince with Ying Ker Lou.
Nice ambience restaurant with friendly waiter/waitress.
Without thinking too much, me and my sister just enter the restaurant and start to look at their menu.

We ordered a ginger fried egg rice wine soup & the fried pork to share.
Drink - Japanese Green Tea.

Before I start with the dish, would like to comment on the minced garlic and the chili.
It was nicely chopped, so fresh...
And the chilli were so hot and fragrant~~~
Good job!!!

The green tea pot were big and heavy...
There's label on the pot cover, so that you knw what tea you are drinking.

Me and sis love this gold fish tea cup... nice...

Here comes our ginger fried egg rice wine soup
There's black fungus in it too...
This version is slightly "lighter" compare to what we usually had at home.
As mum said, "outside is different, coz they are doing for business...
Unlike ours, and that makes my cooking special to u gals^^"

Yes, I think agree with mum, but i must said this lighter version taste good too,
If you are someone do not like too heavy taste, yes, you can definitely go for this.

The fried pork.
Um... This one is also very different than the usual one i had.
There're sliced into very thin slice, more crispy.
Not bad afterall.
But i would like to comment on the plating of the dish, the lettuce that serve together with the pork was very small, it doesnt really place properly and somehow spoiled the whole outlook of the dish.

The bill cames out to be around RM40 ++
Some people may think, why do I paying so much for such a dish that i could actually get outside which is more cheaper and even tastier?
But again, think about the environment & service, plus... a place like curve where you couldnt find any cheap cheap and good good traditional hakka cuisine like this, it's still worth a visit ^^

The 9th Day of CNY, as usual we will prayed at my brother's house and have a simple supper.

Unlike others... our way of praying is more simple, no meat... more vege and fruits.

It's belive by the chinese that it helps to grab all the $$$ and prosperity....
It's usually sell at pasar during CNY.
We bought ours from pasar pagi on CNY eve, much more cheaper.
About 20 plus per kg.
Mum said it was sold almost RM60 per kg on baitiangong day.

After praying, we had yee sang that da bao earlier by my sis from gold hill.
We usually add can abalone to the yee sang.
Open the can, slightly wash the abalone, sliced it and squeeze some lemon juice on it.
Let it marinate for a while.

This year, I suggest to add sweet pear too after i tried from Peninsular Restaurant.

Look... Abalone, Sweet Pear, jellyfish...
Isn't that tempting???
And i could tell u, its really delicious~~~

It was the forth day of CNY, and its my FH birthday too. His parent decided to buy him a lunch as a brithday celebration for him. Too bad... A lot of shop were not open for business yet. Till we remember this place that we always went for the salt bake fish (盐焗鱼). Its somewhere nearby Batu Caves, but darling said its actually consider Sentul.

Seriously if you were to ask me to go there by myself, I think i might get lost even with map provided. But I am lucky to have darling there for me ^^

(雪梨鱼生）The Snow Pear / Sweet Pear Yee Sang???!!!

Eventhough I was told that this fruti yee sang has been available in the market for quite long ago.But seriously this is my first time try it. And its good!!!

The salted egg york fried squid.
This is very very very good.
Yes, it's not healthy, high cholestrol...
But... I love squid...

The Salted Baked Fish (盐焗鱼）
The fish is so fresh!!! You can only taste the sweetness of fish with a hint of salt.
They have this special sauce to go with the fish too. Sorry forgot about to take down the sauce's pic. Its actually soy sauce with minced garlic and some lime and few drops of sesame oil.
Purrrrfect~

The fish head noodle. The noodle that used is thick type.
I love the way they serve in in claypot.
It somehow added xtra point to the dish.

Lastly, broccoli w crabmeat, scallop eggwhite sauce.
Guess i do not need to say more about it.
By looking at the name, you already could imagine the taste of it. ^^

There're some interesting words or poem hang on the wall, and i thought all of them are pretty educating too ^^

I do not know the amount of the bill but i do know this restaurant charges slightly higher compare to others eventhough its not an air-con restaurant.

If you are somewhere and do not know what to eat, no harm for a try. ^^

Gold HIll Club - The Emperor Garden

Brother invited us to join his CNY company dinner at newly open Emperor Garden Restaurant, Gold Hill Club at Manjalara, Kepong.

The restaurant seems very clean and new as its just open few mths back.

The first dish was Yee Sang...
It was good, very light, not too oily or sweet...

I am a big fans to Yee Sang but poor me, I could only have such a small portion coz it was my last day of detox programme. 忍。。。

Next... the 4 season platter

No... It's not what you think, me and my sister actually sharing this portion.She's on diet ... for her wedding in March. At least I dont felt so pathetic with someone companion ^^

The Sharkfin Soup. Real Sharkfin??? um.... I 'm not sure...

I love to have my sharkfin soup with some Cognac, Vinegar and a few pieces of gree chili. The soup was good... in fact there's lots of crab meant in there.

Fish...

The Suckling Pig... Slurrrp...
But i only have one small piece, sob sob...
The skin is crispy... but i somehow felt that it doesnt have a very strong smell of suckling pig... um... well, I dont know if u understand what i mean here.

Prawn.
I dont really like the taste of the prawn, the sauce was somehow too sweet for my liking.

Vegetarian? um... maybe not there're fish maw in it.
This is the only dish that I allowed myself to eat a lil bit more.
Mushroom, vege... hmmm... Simply delicious~

Glutinous Rice with Chinese Sausage
This is the highlight of the night.
Its so fragrant and not too oily.
Sigh... but i only have one tablespoon of it.

Dessert Time~

errr...
Very disspointing.
I can only taste "SWEET" for all above dessert.
Red Bean soup with only sugar taste. It was very dilute, no red bean at all.
The pao was dry and too sweet like i m putting a tablespoon of sugar into my mouth.
yucks...

Overall I'll give 5 out of 10 for tonight's food.
Service was ok, the waiter seems not very sure about his work.
Toilet - Errr... Such a nice decor of the place but failed to keep the basic cleanliness of the toilet.

The Famous Rawang Lan Jie Steamed Fish - 兰姐蒸鱼

It was my 4th day of detox programme, I was pretty discipline but not today.

Why? errr.... because of the famous Lan jie steamed tilapia at Rawang.

Follow FH to Rawang for some matter, and on our way back, we dropby at Lan Jie's place to eat the steamed fish. We were there around 11 plus. There're already few tables of people sitting there. Its not my first time here, we surely know what to order. But unlike others we only ordered 1 fish for me and FH to share coz we seriously think that 1 fish for one person is a lil too much. Moreover, I was on my detox programme, I shouldnt be eating this.

We ordered 1 super spicy steamed tilapia, and a fried kangkung.

Here come's our yummy fish & fried kangkung.

The kangkung was fresh and not oily. hmmm.... taste good~

The steamed tilapia (fei zhao)

Checkout the generous amount of the chopped ginger & garlic and super spicy cili padi on top of the fish. Its so fragant and tasty...

I love the sauce too. Its sweet...
Arghhh... only if i could have some rice to go with it...
yes... next time... after my detox programme.

Not very expensive, and i think its very reasonable for such a tasty steamed fish.

There're others dish such as sweet & sour chicken, Ginger steamed prawn, Kung Pao sotong etc which i believe taste very good too.

I should have bring more people next time so that i could try others dishes too.

My Detox Programme - Day 5 to Day 7

hihi... Happy CNY to you~~~~
CNY so many good foods... I m sure most of you are just like me now, dont know the word "hungry" as i never have the chance to feel that :P

Before proceed with what I had during CNY, I guess I'll just complete my detox programme updates.

Day 5 to Day 7 was basically not much difference except I actually became not so discipline anymore ^^

Day 5
Morning, yogurt and a few bites G cheong fun for breakfast, skip lunch as i wasnt hungry. Detox drink half an hour later.

Nite, chicken rice ball from malacca (^-^ FH dabao frm malacca) small portion w chic breast. Love the yam one, as its more fragant. Detox drink half an hour later.
The time that i went NGNG today became lesser, texture firmer and floats. Color - healthy ^^

Day 6
I am suppose to accompany my dear sister to go UE3 to check out some wedding gown and bridesmate dress, but oh man~ It was so jam at Cat road that we decided to turn back and have lunch at Ipoh Road Yong Tao Foo. Yeah i skipped Breakfast and drink detox drink. My lunch is - 1 chilli, 1 brinjal without skin, 1 taofu. some rojak.
Dinner - Sinful lunch... so i only have half dragon fruit, and my detox drink later.
NGNG today just like yesterday... Means - healthy ;)

Day 7
Breakfast - Yogurt and detox drink.
Lunch - Skipped. Why? Firstly was bcoz i wasnt feeling hungry, secondly... check out my dinner you will know...
Dinner - My dear Big Bro booked 2 table at Gold Hill > Emperor Garden for his company dinner. So... no reason to escape... tried all the dishes, but every dishes one small bite. sigh....

Detox drink abt an hour later as I was really full.

Yipeeee.......... Done.
7 days of detox programme finally ended.

Post Mortem
hehehe... People around me kept asking the same question since day 1...
Did u lost any weight???
Um... ok... to make it clear... this is a detox programme rather than a slimming programme. But... yes, I lost 2 kg (was 53kg b4 the detox programme and nearly 51kg now)
But i agree with babe that for anybody who eat like this will surely lost weight.
I felt good... in fact I felt that I am kind of used to the small portion I had these 7 days, that I actually can't eat so much these days.
Um... I am not very sure but i felt that i dont feel very hungry during the consuming of the product. So i guess somehow this is a good way to start as a diet plan.

I felt refresh, rejuvanate.
Unlike babe... I actually slept very well... (which I dont before that)
Skin = not so dehydrate... more supple especially face.
NGNG = Very healthy.. both color and texture ^-^

I love the feeling after the detox programme.
Yes, there's next time, plan to do it every three months ^^

My 7 days detox programme - 1st to 4th day

I have been following babe's blog about her 7 day detox programme.

After reading so much about the advantage and good results she gained from the programme, my hear & body also feel itchy :p

Hence, I did a little reseach about the product. And finally i bought it. I am not sure if I m suppose to reveal the name of the product here but since babe didn't, so i guess i will not publish the name of the product too. I bought mine from caring, the 2nd cheapest. WHY did i say that? um... Guardian is selling for RM149 Watson RM138 Caring RM128 and Jusco One U RM127.80.

arghhh... ya... i bought the one from caring then only i found out its selling 20 cents cheaper at Jusco. sigh...

okay... back to my detox programme...
I didn't follow exactly the recommended menu as i think that the food suggestion portion is really too little for me, but i tried to follow as much as i can ...

Day 1

08.30 am

Breakfast - Half Dragon Fruit + Detox drink + 400ml of H2O

09.45 am

NGNG (so fast??!!! ya woh... ) VERY Dark faeces, a bit floating, most sinking
very smooth and fast, not feeling stomache or any uneasy symptom

12.00 pm

Lunch - Half Dragon Fruit

15.30 pm

plenty of water from time to time - already consume 1800ml by 3.30pm
was feeling a bit hungry, drink ABC soup got half potato, one whole onion, can small piece of carrot

16.55 pm

I kept on feeling the urge to go, so i go in try try - really got a bit
"NGNG" also dark one some float some sink oso.
Hoola hoop for 20 mins (sigh... my waist felt so pain now) but means, effective ^^

18.35 pm

ABC soup w less than half bowl of brown rice

19.15 pm - Detox drink
21.30 pm -Feeling a bit hungry again... sigh, had small bowl of soup, just soup... no vege...

By end of the day, I have drink about 3.5 liter water
( just felt thirsty and feel like drinking water most of the time)

Side effects:Nausea, headache, restless, sleepy, fatigue, sweat a lot, coated tongue(babe was right, the product has got a lot of mineral in it, makes u heaty, must drink a lot of water), keep on passing gas(but not smelly), and have the urge to go toilet but a friendly one ^^ no stomache yet very smooth(smell alrite, not as babe's one :p)

Day 2
10.30 am

Forgot to bring fruits, and i wasn't hungry, so just drink Detox drink for breakfast and plenty of water.

12.20 pm

NGNG - medium portion, sinking... color slightly lighter than yesterday.

13.00 pm

A piece of Pineapple for lunch...

NGNG - light brown and some yellow, sinking

Side effects: a bit nausea & headache but better than yesterday, feeling thirsty, frequent urination (luckily it's not those public toilet that charges, if not... broke)

Water consumed - 1.5 liter ( been busy whole day, didnt have time to drink water... :( )

Side effects: Felt much more better today, no more nausea or fatigue, just that my throat started to felt a bit sore, maybe because i drink less water today.
Like what babe did, I gargling salt water before going to bed. and it was better the next day.
2 small pimple pop out on forehead... sigh~

Day 4
overslept... was busy and rushing ...
not hungry, skip breakfast and totally forgot about the detox drink (ophsss....)

11.30 am

Lunch.
Couldnt resist the famous Lan Jie Spicy Steamed Fish at Rawang, so i had small portion of fish and fried kangkung (errr... sinful... )

13.00 pm

NGNG... portion average, color yellow, slightly watery.
dunno why stomach felt a bit uneasy.

13.35 pm

Since i skip my detox drink in the morning, so i make it afternoon and follow by H2O

13.50 pm

walk frm office to Jusco post office then RHB then bk to office.
more than 30 mins of walking. GOOD~ Sweat a lot...

15.30 pm

back to office and run to toilet, NGNG - small portion, mild diarrhoea

18.30 pm

stomache on and off... and finally... i went to NGNG.
Guess what??!!! mild diarrhoea, portion is big...
most of it floating, but my patpat felt spicy (must be the lanjie steamed fish)

20.45 pm

Late Dinner. Have small portion of fried rice (um ... home cooked, less oil, very light) some salad leaves ...

21.30 pm

Stomach still felt upset... so skip detox drink...

Water Consumed - 2 liter ( thats why my throat still felt not very well)
Side effects: errr... not that i aware... i felt nothing today except the stomache.

There goes my 4 days of detox programme, 3 more days to go... ^^

Yeah... I finally have the opportunity to try out this new restaurant at One Utama.
(yea... i know i am a bit late... but i think its never been too late to try out good food ^^)

I was so excited when i know i am going to visit Pasta Zanmai.
Did a little bit of research the day before, and boolicious's review certainly makes me drooling...

Bright Sunday morning... we (my sis and my buddy jeannie) arrived One U around 11am.
The car park is pretty empty as its still early.

As planned, we went to giant and jusco to shop for CNY and also i bought my detox drink which the one babeinthecity had during her 7 days detox programme. (yea... cant believe i really bought it, thanks to babe, lots of motivation from u ^^)

And next... BRUNCH TIME!!! (man... i was starving as i didn't had breakfast~)

We walk in to Shiojikiya, and proceed to Pasta Zanmai which is located behind the Japanese mini market. We were greeted & seated by a friendly ... lovely lady ^^

Wow... checkout the menu... what should i eat???

We were busy browsing through the menu and couldnt decide what to have.
Suddenly, i saw something i missed a lot, the OMURICE !!!
I love omurice, i couldn't forget how tasty was the omurice i used to have in Japan~

and my sis is having vege miso soup ( she's on diet, what a waste....)

Drinks ? Ice fruit tea sounds good... We ordered a jug and share among 3 ppl.

Chopsticks.... I noticed that the quality of the chopstick is good.
Not those "chippo" type that some sushi place used.

Yeah... The drink is here. A tall jug with lots of fruits in there...
Taste: absolutely great!!! cool & refreshing, not too sweet, just nice ~

Um... Not sure if we are supposed to have the drink together with the fruits but we felt that we should, we were having difficuties to pour the drinks together with the fruit, and nothing was provide to us, so we used chopstick -_-!!! to dig the fruits out *shamed* (should have asked a spoon or scoop from the waitress ya... aiya... paiseh paiseh...)

There're orange, watermelon, honeydew in it.

Our food was served there after.
Have a look with Jeannie's Unagi set consist of miso soup, rice, 6 big pcs of Unagi and salad.

Wassup everybody???!!!
Did u had a great holiday???
I went to Lemon Garden, Shangri-la KL with my family on Xmas eve for buffet dinner.
Yep, obviously this post is about the food i had at Lemon Garden.

So, what's my comment on this famous, one of the best buffet place in town?

Well, If you are there for the oyster & scallop, you are at the right place.
Both Oyster & scallop were so fresh and big. Especiall the scallop, slurrrp...
I had 5 oyster and 3 scallop, yummy!!! 2 thumbs up...

okay... um... what else?
The chocolate fountain~
The sate were good too, taste like those i had on board Singapore Airline ^^.
Beef was not bad, yes, the sashimi are acceptable too.

Other than that, i am actually a lil dissapointed.
I am not sure how this place usually like, but for that day the tables & seats are arranged very close towards each table. It was kind of cramped, and i dont really feel comfortable.

Move on to the food, the crab & crayfish were not very fresh.
The lamb was over cook, the cakes are not good either, not sure about the brand of the ice cream but i really dont wanna comment about it, the replenishment of the fruits are slow, that i have to go for few rounds only get my cherrie.

well well well, yea... negative more than positive.

I am thinking, maybe it's xmas eve, just like most of the restaurant, the service and the quality of the food are expected to be not so good.

um... but we paid RM135(not inclusive of tax yet) per person, for this?

And guess what ... there're chestnut with the red bean paste in it...

Bought this from Jusco Supermart under the Japanese Frozen Food section.
Not cheap ... RM4.90 for one.
But I think its worth it...
You could get it from Jusco Mid Valley / One Utama.

Heat it in microwave for 30 sec, wala... its ready to serve...
Best serve with a glass of green tea.
Enjoy ~~~ ^^

Someone mentioned this special place at Bukit Tinggi, serve very good and famous seafood pot. So we decided to try it out.

We arrived in the afternoon.
The place is not somewhere fancy, no air-con.
But the decor was kind of special.

Raymond make the decision for ordering the dishes.
Cant really remember the names, but overall they taste not bad.
Love the lamb the most...

The second layer is soup with some mushroom and vege

Fried Egg with toufu ... w a hint of rice wine

Some stuffing in the fish that makes it so fragrant

Was a little dissapointed with the seafood pot as i was told it comes with a few layers but end up there're only 2 layer. And oso the crab was not very fresh.

Bill came up to be RM400 ++ Phew... i thought thats a lil expensive for what we ordered.

Anyway... since we are just nearby, we decided to go bukit tinggi resort. Went to feed rabbit... walk walk at the french village and japanese village...

One Utama Oktober Fest - RM1 for Beer!!!

But since i have some time now, just wanna share some pics i snap last week.
It's One U Oct Fest 2007. Received newsletter from one card.
OMG!!!! RM1 for Beer???!!!

Come on, cheap beers and food, what r we waiting for???

Arrived ard 5pm on 28th Oct, sunday.
The function was held at rainforest. It was so crowded, we quickly join the queue, afraid that we wont be able to get the cheap beer as there're only offer 1000 bottle per day. The queue was long, but it doesnt take very long time for us to wait. Finally, we got our beer. Grab some food, find a table, and enjoying the performance.

Beer was good, so refreshing, so worth it~~~ ^-^

It was great, and i am so surprised that this is already the 3rd year One U held this event.

Will definitely visit again next year ~

Will be away ....
